On 26 May, the Diplomatic Academy of Viet Nam (DAV) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Viet Nam Omega Books Joint Stock Company (Omega). The signing ceremony marked an important milestone in the development of publishing cooperation between the two institutions, contributing to the dissemination of knowledge and intellectual values among the Academy’s faculty members, staff, and students.

Representing DAV at the ceremony were Dr. Nguyen Thi Thin, Vice President, along with representatives from the Department of Education & Training, Faculties, academic programmes, and various administrative units. Representing Omega were Mr. Nguyen Canh Binh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Viet Nam Omega Books Joint Stock Company and Alpha Books Joint Stock Company; Ms. Tran Thi Hoai Phuong, CEO of Omega Viet Nam Books Joint Stock Company; and representatives of the company’s departments and divisions.

In her opening remarks, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thin highlighted the strong alignment between Omega and the DAV in terms of mission, core values, and strategic vision. She also underscored the importance of establishing cooperation with the company to promote reading culture among DAV students. Vice President Nguyen Thi Thin further emphasized the need to enhance young people’s awareness of intellectual property rights and copyright protection. In this regard, she proposed the regular organization of forums, seminars, and academic conferences on publishing to foster reading culture and promote academic exchange within the Vietnamese student community.

On behalf of Omega, Ms. Tran Thi Hoai Phuong noted that the cooperation agreement not only creates opportunities for collaboration between a publishing enterprise and a higher education institution, but also contributes to cultivating a dynamic academic environment that encourages creativity and lifelong learning among DAV students. She expressed her expectation that future collaborative activities would enable students of the Academy to gain greater access to high-quality knowledge resources, strengthen connections with the publishing sector, and develop innovative thinking in the context of increasingly deep international integration.

Mr. Nguyen Canh Binh, Chairman of the Board of Directors, affirmed the company’s commitment to accompanying the Academy and supporting its students in accessing authoritative and specialized academic resources. He also expressed his confidence in the long-term development of the partnership between the two institutions in advancing the value of books and knowledge dissemination.

The signing ceremony was held in a cordial, constructive, and cooperative atmosphere, laying an important foundation for the implementation of future collaborative initiatives, including specialized forums and seminars on diplomacy and scientific research. These activities are expected to further promote reading culture among young people pursuing diplomatic studies. The event marks a new chapter in the relationship between the DAV and Omega Viet Nam, while creating additional opportunities for faculty members, staff, and students to enhance their learning, research, and access to reputable and specialized sources of knowledge at the DAV.
