

On August 22, 2025, the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV) today welcomed a 60-member youth delegation from Japan’s Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), led by Mr. Nakasone Yasutaka, Head of the LDP Youth Division. The event was attended by H.E. Ito Naoki, Ambassador of Japan to Vietnam, DAV Vice President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan Anh, faculty members, and over 40 students, mainly from the Japanese Studies program.
Vice President Lan Anh underlined the importance of youth exchanges in the context of the newly established Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and Japan, affirming her belief that young people represent the future of bilateral ties.
Mr. Nakasone Yasutaka expressed his delight in meeting Vietnamese students during the delegation’s final activity in Vietnam, sharing his impression of DAV’s “Japan Room,” which made him feel at home. He emphasized that people-to-people exchange, particularly among youth, is the most vital element in strengthening relations.
During the dialogue, students from both countries discussed culture, language, politics, society, and the role of youth in economic development. A Japanese student representative highlighted that the exchange reinforced trust and friendship, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation.
The exchange reaffirmed the strong friendship between Vietnam and Japan, while promoting sustainable values and expanding cooperation across multiple fields.
