The workshop took place in an enthusiastic and positive atmosphere with participation from members of the Institutional Self-Evaluation Council, the Secretariat, specialized groups, staff, and lecturers of the DAV.

On July 11, 2024, the DAV organized a training workshop on institutional self-assessment activities, chaired by Dr. Nguyen Thi Thin, Vice President of the DAV. Attending the training session were members of the Self-Assessment Council, the Secretariat, specialized groups, lecturers, and other staff of the DAV.

In her opening remarks, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thin emphasized the significance of self-assessment in the accreditation process. The institutional self-assessment will help the DAV comprehensively review its activities five years after receiving its first Certificate of Institutional Accreditation. It will also evaluate the implementation of recommendations from the accreditation panel, review strengths and weaknesses, and identify areas for improvement. These efforts aim to enhance the quality of education, research, and service delivery for the next five years.

The workshop was conducted in an engaging and constructive atmosphere as members of the specialized groups exchanged experiences from an accreditation perspective. Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Huyen, Head of the Office of Testing and Quality Assurance, provided an overview of the DAV's institutional self-assessment process and plan, the accreditation process for higher education institutions following the guidelines from Circular 12/2017/TT-BGDĐT, and the evaluation benchmarks along with the required evidence. The presentation was followed by a Q&A session.

The training workshop gave participants a better understanding of the principles and methods for preparing a self-assessment report, ensuring the DAV remains on track for its second cycle of the accreditation process.
