


On the afternoon of June 14th, the Department of Education and Training and the Student Affairs Office successfully held the Award Ceremony for the “Wings for the future” and “Light up the dreams” Scholarships for the Academic Year 2023 - 2024.
Attending the Ceremony were Acting President of Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam Pham Lan Dung, Vice President Nguyen Thi Thin, Member of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Vice Head of the Faculty of International Communication and Culture, Nguyen Dong Anh; Secretary of the Youth Union Executive Committee and Vice Head of the Faculty of International Law, Tran Huu Duy Minh; Head of the Students Affairs Office, Nguyen Tuan Hiep; Lecturer of the Faculty of English, Nguyen Do Ngan Giang; Lecturer of the Faculty of International Economics, Nguyen Vinh Thanh; Lecturer of the Faculty of International Politics and Diplomacy, Pham Hoang Son, together with other officials and lecturers of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam.
Representing the scholarship sponsors at the Ceremony was Ms. Truong Thi Khanh Linh, Deputy Director of BIDV Trang An Branch and a sponsor of the Light up the dreams Scholarship Fund.
In addition, the Wings for the future and Light up the dreams Scholarship Ceremony for the 2023-2024 academic year was attended by nearly 70 students from the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam who received the scholarships.

The ceremony opened with a musical performance titled “Nguoi Gieo Mam Xanh”, presented by the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam's Music Club.

In her opening speech, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thin, Vice President of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV), emphasized that with the desire to encourage and accompany students facing difficult circumstances right from the moment they step onto the university lecture hall, the DAV has implemented the Future Wings Scholarship Program for the 2023–2024 academic year. This program is dedicated to DAV freshmen who face hardship and achieve high academic results in their first year at the Academy. Additionally, there is the “Light up the Dreams” Scholarship Program, which is funded by contributions from DAV alumni, faculty, staff, officials, and units of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, along with domestic and international organizations and individuals. Notably, this program is specifically accompanied by BIDV - the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam - and is dedicated to financially disadvantaged students within the Academy.
Through these two programs, the Academy and the benefactors wish for the students to make good use of the material and moral support to excel in their studies and research. The Academy also hopes that the scholarship recipients understand that besides the existing scholarship programs, they will always receive support and companionship from the Academy's departments, staff, and faculty members to ensure their learning and activities at the Academy are most meaningful, to spread the culture of dynamism - creativity - vision - connection not only within the Academy but also with the wider community, and to preserve and develop the core values and identity of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam.


Following this, Ms. Truong Thi Khanh Linh, Deputy Director of BIDV Trang An Branch, delivered a speech and presented a donation of 200 million VND to the Thap sang uoc mo Scholarship Fund.







Representing the students who received the Light up the Dreams Scholarship for the 2023-2024 academic year, student Hoang Van Quang shared: 'I, like all the students present here, feel very fortunate and happy to receive this scholarship from the Academy. I would like to express my most sincere and deepest gratitude to the esteemed teachers and faculty for showing concern, sharing, and encouraging us so that we can overcome the difficulties in life and have the motivation to strive even harder in our studies.
The amount of money we received is truly meaningful to us, as it is not just simple material value but invaluable moral support, greatly encouraging us on our path of learning and pursuing our dreams. We will use this scholarship to cover our study expenses, helping our studies achieve the best possible results, so as not to disappoint the efforts of everyone who has cared for and helped us.
On behalf of the students who received the Light up the Dreams Scholarship for the 2023-2024 academic year, I promise to study hard and strive to become useful individuals for society, worthy of the attention and care of the Academy's faculty through the “Light up the Dreams” scholarship program, and we will spread love to those less fortunate so that our educational journey will be even more meaningful”.The scholarship ceremony concluded successfully with the joy and happiness of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam students who received the scholarships.




In her heartfelt speech, Phuong Ngan affirmed: “Thanks to the special support from the Academy's Chap canh tuong lai scholarship program, we have been able to progress further in our journey of accessing knowledge and study with peace of mind without worrying about the financial burden. These scholarships are not only recognition of our persistent efforts throughout 12 years of high school and our first year of university but also a huge source of motivation, pushing us to strive even harder in the future. The precious sentiment and companionship from the Academy have become a fire that warms our belief and nourishes our aspiration for learning. As a result, we will have more opportunities in our studies, research, and youth movement activities, thereby improving ourselves and contributing to the community”.
The scholarship ceremony concluded successfully with the joy and happiness of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam students who received the scholarships.
The Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam extended its sincere gratitude to the sponsors of the scholarship programs, especially BIDV Bank, for accompanying and supporting the students in various fields and aspects.
The Academy hopes that, with these scholarships, the Academy's students will have additional solid foundations on their path of learning, become outstanding students of the Academy, and achieve great success in the future.
