Entrepreneur Nguyen Van Tuan, an alumnus of Cohort 18, is a prominent business leader with extensive experience in manufacturing, trade, and real estate. He currently serves as Chairman of Sao Viet Consulting Company; Chairman and CEO of Khai Tin Huy Manufacturing and Trading Company; and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cat Tuong Real Estate Group. He previously served as Chairman of the Viet Nam Cotton and Spinning Association for the 2015-2020 term, making notable contributions to the development of the business community in the industry. Drawing from his rich entrepreneurial journey, the speaker shared practical insights into opportunities, orientations, and challenges in the business sector amid an increasingly integrated global economy.

The seminar focused on a range of practical issues related to the current context and development trends of the business sector. It also raised important questions regarding the ability of DAV students to adapt and leverage their strengths in a dynamic business environment. Through the speaker’s insights and interactive exchanges with students, the program aimed to provide multidimensional perspectives on opportunities, challenges, and competency requirements for young professionals in today’s era of international integration.
The event was honored by the presence of Ambassador, Associate Professor Dr. Dang Dinh Quy - Former Permanent Representative of Viet Nam to the United Nations; Ambassador Luong Thanh Nghi - Former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Viet Nam to the Kingdom of Denmark and Australia; Ambassador Nguyen Thi Bich Hue - Former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Viet Nam to Italy; and Ms. Hoang Mai Huong, Head of the Undergraduate Affairs Office.

From the perspective of a business leader with a background in diplomatic education, Nguyen Van Tuan offered candid reflections on the current business landscape and the increasingly demanding expectations of the labor market toward younger generations. Based on his entrepreneurial journey and experience in corporate leadership, he emphasized that a global mindset, strong analytical abilities, and effective communication in multicultural environments are among the key advantages of DAV students when entering the business sector. However, he also noted that to transform these advantages into real competitive strengths, students need to continuously cultivate personal resilience, strategic thinking, and adaptability in the face of ever-changing market dynamics.

Through vivid real-life examples, the seminar also broadened students’ perspectives on career pathways, highlighting that the professional trajectory of DAV students is not confined to traditional diplomatic careers but also extends to opportunities in business, management, and other fields closely associated with international integration. The authentic stories from the speaker’s entrepreneurial journey inspired students to proactively explore their potential, embrace new challenges, and gradually build suitable career development paths.
During the program, the Q&A session between students and the speaker took place in a lively atmosphere, with numerous questions surrounding career orientation, entrepreneurial opportunities, and essential skills for adapting to the business environment. The open and candid exchanges provided students with valuable practical insights, contributing to their ability to actively shape their future career trajectories.

The enthusiastic and insightful sharing of entrepreneur Nguyen Van Tuan not only provided practical perspectives on the business sector but also reflected the strong connection and sense of responsibility that DAV alumni maintain toward the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam. Through his professional journey, the speaker inspired students with a spirit of initiative, resilience in international integration, and the aspiration to contribute to society. Such homecomings of accomplished alumni help bridge the gap between academia and real-world practice, while also strengthening the tradition of connection, continuity, and development within the DAV community across generations.
The seminar offered valuable insights and practical perspectives, while reaffirming the role of the DAV Ambassadors’ Journey in fostering a learning environment closely connected with real-world practice. Through activities that connect students with accomplished alumni, the program contributes to broadening students’ horizons, nurturing their aspirations to contribute, and preparing them with a solid foundation for their future careers.
