French Conference - Recueil des Paroles (REPA) 2024

On the evening of May 17, the French Conference - Recueil des Paroles (REPA) 2024 took place at the Diplomatic Academy with the theme "Métamorphose" (Metamorphosis) - "Devenez la meilleure version de vous-même" (Become a better version of yourself).

With the theme "Métamorphose" (Metamorphosis), Recueil des Paroles 2024 conveys the message "Devenez la meilleure version de vous-même" (Become a better version of yourself). The event takes inspiration from the transformation process of a rough stone into a perfect sculpture. Similarly, this process can be seen in personal growth, as each individual has hidden potential that needs to be uncovered to break through limitations so that they can  become the most radiant version of themselves.

The first activity, “Découpe” (Puzzle Pieces), was an opportunity for students to share their stories and ideas about their "Personal Revolution" to become the best version of themselves. Through the process of sharing perspectives and their own "polishing" and "transformation" stories, they had the opportunity to spread valuable ideas and bring about "Special Revolutions" in different aspects. Students participated in the conference by submitting written essays, with the top 5 submissions selected for producing video to share the messages of personal transformation and self-improvement with the student community.

In the second activity of the program - “Polissage” (Polishing), the French Conference was honored to welcome 05 well-known speakers: Professor Aurore Phạm, the "French-speaking shipper" Huỳnh Hữu Phước, Tiktoker Tuệ Nga, French teacher Đào Phương Anh, and Youtuber Mẫn Nhi, with 05 different stories about the journey of "Self-revolution".

At the talk, students had the opportunityto listen to the sharings of YouTuber Man Nhi. The speaker delivered a heartfelt speech about her 5-year journey of stepping out of her comfort zone and gaining valuable life experiences in the Netherlands and Australia to develop herself: "Discovering and utilizing one's unique strengths is the key to breaking through personal limitations and opening doors to new opportunities".

Next, the story "Inner Awakening" by speaker Tue Nga offers many practical solutions to help "heal" a heart with many scratches in a life full of ups and downs, spreading the beauty of confidence and determination to the students. Born with a facial deformity and teased for a long time, speaker Tue Nga still persevered through the pain and tried every day to spread positive values ​​to the community.

Ms. Dao Phuong Anh is currently enrolling in a Master's program at Ha Noi University, she impressed the audiences with her great academic portfolio, which has helped her receive numerous French academic awards, including the Master's Scholarship from the Wallonie-Bruxelles delegation from Hanoi University. Sharing her journey from a French learner to a singer and musician of the Lop Dop Band, Ms. Dao Phuong Anh shared her formula to achieve success in life.

After that, speaker Huu Phuoc’s motivational sharing encouraged the students to gain confidence and strive harder on their paths.About two years ago, the story of a 25-year-old shipper went viral on social media for his fluency in French when interacting with writer Marc Levy at Nguyen Van Binh Book Street in Ho Chi Minh City. After years of hard work, he became a famous translator, bringing French culture closer to Vietnam. To achieve that, speaker Huu Phuoc had to go through multiple challenges, one major of which was peer pressure.

Finally, Ms. Aurore Pham shared that witnessing her students change and grow is the story of a "personal revolution" impressed her the most, which helped her gain motivation and determination to strive to develop as a French teacher. Throughout the talk, she provided vivid images and meaningful messages to convey the spirit of daring to challenge oneself and step out of the comfort zone to listeners.
