Scholarship Awarding Ceremony of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Hanoi and Donors

On October 9^th 2012, the Scholarship Awarding Ceremony of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Hanoi and the Donors was organized at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam. This is the first time that the Korean embassy has awarded scholarships to DAV students.

Participants of the ceremony were Mr. Dang Dinh Quy, DAV’s President, Ms. Nguyen Thai Yen Huong, DAV’s Vice President; faculty representative staff; representatives from Korean Embassy in Vietnam and representatives of the donors including Industrial Bank of Korea, Star Korea and TJB Vietnam.

Mr. Quy thanked the Embassy and the donors for granting scholarships to DAV students. These scholarships serve as a source of inspiration and encouragement for the students to make greater efforts. He also wished to continue receiving scholarships in subsequent years, thereby contributing to the continued development of Vietnam – South Korea relations.

Representatives of the donors hope that the students will make the best use of the scholarships for their study and research.

On behalf of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, Mr. Quy received the scholarships with a total value of 120 million VND and 1,000 USD.
