DAV Schoolmate Peer Tutoring & Progress Program 2025 Supporting Students Facing Challenges in Learning Chinese Language

On the morning of 1 July 2025, with the goal of enhancing learning quality and promoting solidarity among students, the Faculty of Chinese Language of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV) officially launched the “Schoolmate Peer Tutoring & Progress Program 2025.” This meaningful initiative aims to pair academically strong students with those facing difficulties in university-level Chinese studies, while fostering a proactive, supportive, and humanistic academic environment.

During the 2025 summer rollout, the program focuses on supporting students who require tutoring, review sessions, and improvement in foundational knowledge—particularly in the Chinese language. Through a 1-on-1 learning pair model, the program seeks to help learners consolidate knowledge, enhance language skills, and build confidence. More than an academic activity, this initiative reflects the spirit of companionship and mutual support among students—where each individual can become a source of inspiration and collective growth.

Students participating as learners will receive direct guidance from peers who have strong academic records, enthusiasm, and a desire to share their own methods and experiences in learning Chinese. Sessions may be conducted either online or in person, depending on each pair’s conditions and mutual arrangements. Throughout the process, students will be guided on effective learning strategies, provided with useful materials, and supported in resolving challenges to improve key language skills.

To ensure effective tutoring outcomes, the program also sets forth several commitments for participating learners. Students are expected to follow the agreed-upon schedule, remain cooperative, and demonstrate responsibility throughout the process. This is not only an opportunity to strengthen academic knowledge but also a chance to cultivate responsibility and build sustainable study habits.

The Schoolmate Peer Tutoring & Progress Program aims not only to improve academic performance but also to build a community of students who listen, share, and progress together. Peer-to-peer support forms the foundation of a learner-centered educational environment that values openness, connection, and mutual assistance. Following the official launch, the organizing committee has begun pairing students and initiating summer learning sessions in appropriate groups to ensure effectiveness.

It is hoped that this summer will be a meaningful and inspiring one—learning together, progressing together, and excelling together through the Schoolmate Peer Tutoring & Progress Program.
