On the afternoon of 22 September 2025, the Faculty of International Economics, Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, successfully organized a seminar titled “Trade Barriers in the U.S. Market: FDA Registration and Import Licenses.” The event drew strong interest from lecturers and students, offering practical and in-depth knowledge on exporting goods to one of the world’s largest and most demanding markets.

The seminar welcomed guest speaker Mr. Lưu Tiến Tùng, Managing Director of GPLUS Vietnam Co., Ltd., alongside many lecturers and students of the Faculty of International Economics. This was a valuable opportunity for students and faculty members to gain specialized and practical insights into the process of entering one of the most challenging global markets.

During the seminar, the speaker provided an overview of the U.S. market and offered detailed analysis of the opportunities and challenges facing Vietnamese enterprises operating in this environment. He emphasized that, despite abundant opportunities, the U.S. market imposes numerous barriers, particularly concerning legal requirements and quality standards. Notably, the speaker examined key trade barriers, especially the stringent regulations of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Topics such as FDA registration, FCE/SID, product labeling rules, and food safety documentation were thoroughly discussed.

These practical insights helped participating students better understand complex legal procedures and equipped them with essential skills to overcome regulatory barriers, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of Vietnamese enterprises in the global market.

The seminar concluded successfully, offering fresh and practical perspectives for both faculty and students and reaffirming the Faculty of International Economics’ commitment to delivering high-quality activities that connect theory with practice.
