From August to October, students of the Faculty of International Economics, together with students from universities across Hanoi, initiated and implemented the Hear Me Lead (HML) project. The project was launched with the aim of providing hearing-impaired students with essential and practical knowledge about business operations, enabling them to apply these skills in daily life and future career pathways.

The project was carried out with the participation of:

✨ Student team from the Faculty of International Economics – Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam:

Vũ Yến Chi, Khuất Giang Linh, Lê Thị Thu Minh, Phạm Bảo Phương, Nguyễn Thị Vân Khánh, Đỗ Linh Thư, Hoàng Phương Thảo, Nguyễn Kim Hiền, Nguyễn Thị Thảo, Nguyễn Khánh Ly, Trần Thị Thanh Lụa, Lê Thu Quỳnh.

✨ Students from other universities:

Đào Khánh Huyền, Phạm Thành Trung, Hoàng Ngọc Nhi.

Along with teachers and a large number of students from Xa Dan Secondary School for the Hearing-Impaired.

On 10 October and 17 October, at Xa Dan Secondary School, the Hear Me Lead project successfully organized two workshops titled “Unleashing Potential” and “Awakening Inner Strength”, with the support of the school’s Board of Management, teachers, and volunteers from the Faculty of International Economics. The workshop series was specially designed for hearing-impaired students to foster creativity, entrepreneurial spirit, and confidence in self-development.

💡 Workshop 1: Unleashing Potential

The first workshop introduced fundamental economic concepts through interactive activities. Students learned about goods, costs, pricing, revenue, and how markets function. Notably, they were guided on how to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats through the SWOT model as part of generating business ideas.

🔥 Workshop 2: Awakening Inner Strength

While Workshop 1 focused on exploration and idea generation, Workshop 2 allowed students to demonstrate their skills through a simulated sales activity. Each team designed their own booth, created a brand name, developed advertising posters, and prepared sales strategies for their products. The students showcased creativity, persuasion, budgeting ability, and customer-interaction skills through lively and colorful presentations.

Hear Me Lead is not merely a volunteer initiative - it is an emotional and meaningful journey in which students from the Faculty of International Economics shared their knowledge, practical experience, and enthusiasm to listen, inspire, and ignite entrepreneurial spirit among hearing-impaired learners.
