Talkshow “Journalism and Communications in the New Era”

On March 19th, the Faculty of International Communication and Culture (FICC) at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV) organized a talk show titled “Journalism and Communications in the New Era”. The event was held for students majoring in International Communication at the Academy.

The talk show featured speaker Pham Thu Hang, Director General of the Department of Information and Press, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, and was moderated by Dr. Nguyen Dong Anh, Deputy Dean of FICC at DAV.
Representing the Academy was Ms. Do Tu Hien, Deputy Chief of Office of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam.
Representing the Organizing Committee were Dr. Vu Tuan Anh – Dean of FICC; along with faculty members and all students of the Faculty.

Sharing at the talk show, speaker Pham Thu Hang outlined the current context and demands placed on the country, especially in the fields of Diplomacy, Journalism, and Communications, as Vietnam enters a new era, an era of the nation's rise. With the viewpoint of “innovate or die”, the speaker emphasized the importance of adaptation and innovation for the younger generation. This is crucial preparation to help students stride firmly into a future full of fluctuations.
Furthermore, speaker Pham Thu Hang shared many real-life professional stories, from which she drew valuable advice for students and revealed numerous development opportunities… The talk show also recorded many interesting and lively questions from students, alongside the insightful and candid responses and exchanges from Director General of the Department of Information and Press, Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang.

Concluding the talk show, Dr. Vu Tuan Anh stated that in the coming time, FICC will enhance opportunities for students to participate in practical and experiential activities, especially programs related to organizing international events, including activities of the Department of Information and Press, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. These activities aim to build and affirm the distinct identity and unique characteristics of the International Communication major at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam. Dr. Vu Tuan Anh also expressed his hope that Director General Pham Thu Hang would continue to show interest, support, and create conditions for the Faculty and the Academy to further promote their strengths in training International Communication students, meeting the demand for high-quality human resources for foreign affairs and international integration work.
