The Final Round of "Chinese Language Idol 2024" Concludes with Resounding Success

On the evening of April 25th, the final round of the "Chinese Language Idol 2024" Competition, themed "Through Time - 穿越时空," concluded with resounding success. "Chinese Language Idol" is an annual competition jointly organized by the Chinese Language Faculty and the Chinese Club of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV), aiming to create a beneficial and exciting platform for students passionate about Chinese language and culture. With the theme "Memories of a Time - 追忆往昔," "Chinese Language Idol 2024" acted as a time machine, taking us back to the past with legendary melodies and classic scenes from Chinese cinema.

The final round of "Chinese Language Idol 2024" was honored to welcome Mr. Phan Vu Tuan Anh, Dean of the Chinese Language Faculty, Ms. Hoang Tung Lan, Lecturer of the Faculty of International Politics and Diplomacy, along with other lecturers from the Chinese Language Faculty of the DAV. "Chinese Language Idol 2024" also received enthusiastic support from students both within and outside the DAV.

The "Chinese Language Idol 2024" competition consisted of four rounds, including three main rounds and one side round. The three main rounds were the "Silver Screen Imprint - 银膜印记" solo round, the "Legendary Melodies - 不朽旋律" preliminary round, and the "Through Time - 穿越时空" final round. The side round was organized in the form of online voting. The competition received great interest and support from numerous students, reflected in the many applications sent to the Organizing Committee.

After the preliminary round, six names officially made it to the finals, including: "快乐是九 – Happiness is Nine," "甜蜜蜜 – Sweet as Honey," "水灵灵 – Bright Eyes," "果宝美女 – National Treasure Beauty," "Queens Of Tears," and "吱吱喳喳 – Chirping."

The top teams competed in two main rounds: the "Musical Party - 音乐派对" warm-up round and the "Moments Frozen in Time - 瞬间停留" talent show round. In the warm-up round, the six teams scored points by answering questions related to the program's theme. In the talent show round, the teams delivered captivating and impressive performances, showcasing their creativity and Chinese language skills. The six performances successfully evoked beautiful memories of a time, associated with timeless movies and songs. These are memorable moments and recollections in everyone's lives, especially for those who are passionate about Chinese cinema, music, and culture.

In the end, the team "甜蜜蜜 – Sweet as Honey" excellently won first place; second place went to "Queens Of Tears"; third place went to "水灵灵 – Bright Eyes"; and the consolation prizes went to the three teams "快乐是九 – Happiness is Nine," "果宝美女 – National Treasure Beauty," and "吱吱喳喳 – Chirping." In addition, based on the online voting results, the "Most Favorite Team" award went to "水灵灵 – Bright Eyes."

Thanks to the meticulous preparation of the Organizing Committee, the significant contributions from the Sponsors, and especially the efforts and creativity of the contestants, the "Chinese Language Idol 2024" competition with the theme "Memories of a Time - 追忆往昔" concluded with resounding success. Hopefully, the competition will continue to receive support and inspire students in future iterations.
