

Wakayama University is a national university located in Wakayama City, Wakayama Prefecture, Japan, established in 1949. The university has approximately 4,090 students, including both undergraduate and graduate levels. It currently comprises four main faculties: Education, Economics, Systems Engineering, and Tourism.
In terms of international cooperation, Wakayama University has established partnership agreements with 38 universities across 18 countries, providing students with opportunities for global connection during and after their studies.
Since the academic year 2023–2024, Wakayama University has welcomed many students from the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam to participate in the student exchange program between the two institutions. During their time there, students have had the opportunity to experience an international academic environment, interact with local people, and explore Japanese culture and society. Participants in the exchange program can also enroll in specialized courses taught in Japanese.
