In addition to in-depth analysis and assessment of the current state and prospects of the US-China technological competition, the author group also provides forecasts on competitive trends, thereby suggesting policy implications for the development of science and technology in Vietnam. The book’s content is structured into three Chapters: Chapter I assesses the role of technology for the US and China, the relationship between the two nations, and summarizes the recent state of technological competition between the US and China. Chapter II focuses on evaluating the impacts of the strategic competition between the US and China in the technological field on the region and the world, specifically in terms of security, development, and influence; it also covers the impact on the international technology cooperation policies of various countries. Chapter III presents forecasts on major trends and several scenarios related to the prospects of US-China technological competition; it evaluates and proposes several foreign policy recommendations for Vietnam to help capitalize on opportunities and mitigate challenges arising from the current trend of technological competition between the US and China.
