Unforgettable Highlights from THE E-FACE 2025 Semifinal Night
On the evening of November 1, the Semifinal Night of THE E-FACE 2025, entitled “AETHER Shield,” took place successfully, marking an important milestone in the journey to find the talented, inspiring, and dedicated Student Ambassadors of the English Faculty, Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV).
THE E-FACE is an academic competition organized annually by the English Faculty with the aim of discovering student ambassadors who embody academic excellence, enthusiasm, and inspirational leadership. This year, the competition returns with the theme “Digital Sovereignty”, attracting significant interest from the academy’s student community.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Phạm Hải Nam – Head of the Organizing Committee of THE E-FACE 2025 – emphasized that the competition serves as a valuable opportunity for students to deepen their understanding of global issues, especially those related to digital sovereignty, while also allowing them to develop essential skills and team spirit. He also sent his best wishes to all participants, encouraging them to compete with passion and shine on the Semifinal stage.
Continuing the momentum from the previous rounds, the Top 12 contestants competed in two main components of the Semifinal Round: the “Windbound” Project Presentation and the “Aerial Conquest” Debate Challenge, showcasing outstanding teamwork, critical thinking, and academic English proficiency.
For the Project Presentation session, the Top 12 contestants were divided into four teams: URIdentity, E-ternals, CYBERCROWN, and Aura-Farmers. Each team developed a collective project related to the theme of Digital Sovereignty, producing an introduction video and delivering a live presentation on stage.
The teams demonstrated creativity in their approach, strong analytical perspectives, and clear critical reasoning throughout their presentations. The English-language Q&A session with the judging panel provided deeper insights, highlighting the contestants’ broad knowledge base, adaptability, and professional composure.
After the Project segment, two teams, including Aura-Farmers and CYBERCROWN, advanced to the Debate Round, where they engaged in a dynamic and compelling discussion on the motion:
“Personal data should be considered national property; the state has the right to manage and exploit it as a public resource.”
Both teams delivered persuasive arguments and demonstrated sharp reasoning, confident stage presence, and clear command of debate techniques in English.
With an exceptional and convincing performance, CYBERCROWN emerged as the winning team of the Semifinal, leaving a strong impression with their ability to harmonize specialized knowledge with effective debate skills.
At the conclusion of “AETHER SHIELD,” the Organizing Committee officially announced the Top 4 Finalists advancing to the Grand Finale:

These outstanding contestants will continue their journey at THE E-FACE 2025 Grand Finale: “AETHER Legacy”, scheduled to take place on November 16, where the Champion of THE E-FACE 2025 will be officially crowned, concluding a truly inspiring competition season.
