


During the meeting, Vice President Nguyen Manh Dong welcomed the Thai delegation to DAV and provided an overview of the Academy’s functions and responsibilities in training, research, and foreign policy advisory. He highly appreciates Thailand’s willingness to cooperate and emphasized the potential to strengthen exchanges between the young generations of both countries, particularly through academic exchanges, joint research, and cultural interaction. DAV expressed its readiness to coordinate and implement appropriate programs, including initiatives on cultural exchange, research collaboration, and joint publications.

On his part, Mr. Piyapak Sricharoen extended his gratitude to the Academy for the warm reception and affirmed Thailand’s desire to promote cooperation between the two countries’ Ministries of Foreign Affairs through in-depth dialogue, academic exchanges, and youth engagement. He highlighted that August 6, 2026, marks a significant milestone, commemorating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and Thailand, and represents an opportunity for both sides to review achievements, consolidate cooperation, and orient future joint activities. The Director-General noted that this occasion provides a special opportunity to promote cultural exchange programs, academic collaboration, and enhance connections between the young generations of both countries, thereby contributing to the deepening of the comprehensive friendship and cooperation between Viet Nam and Thailand.

Concluding the meeting, Vice President Nguyen Manh Dong thanked Mr. Piyapak Sricharoen for his sincere and substantive sharing, and expressed the hope that both sides will continue to maintain contact and enhance cooperation in training and research, further strengthening the friendship and partnership between the two Academies in particular and between Viet Nam and Thailand in general./.
