The meeting focused on discussing opportunities for cooperation in training, research, and academic support, building on the collaborative relationship established between the two institutions in recent years.

At the beginning of the session, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thin provided an overview of the DAV’s functions, mandates, organizational structure, and significant achievements over its more than 65 years of development. She emphasized the Academy’s strategic orientation towards deeper internationalization in the new period and expressed her desire to foster more extensive cooperation with UEA, particularly in undergraduate and postgraduate training, research support, and doctoral development for young lecturers.
The Vice President proposed two major areas of cooperation: (i) joint academic and training programmes; and (ii) research collaboration and co-publication. She also welcomed initiatives to organize joint conferences, education fairs, and promotional activities for scholarship programmes and study opportunities at UEA for DAV students.

For its part, the UEA delegation highly valued the potential for cooperation with the DAV and proposed several specific collaboration activities, including: Joint training programmes under 2+2 or 3+1 models in Law, Business, Economics, and International Relations; Maintaining one 50% Master’s scholarship in Law exclusively for DAV students; Offering special scholarships worth 6.500 - 7.500 GBP to DAV students pursuing their studies at UEA; Supporting the connection with academic supervisors and PhD scholarship opportunities for young lecturers; Proposing four guest lectures in Marketing, Economics, International Relations, and Law for DAV students; Exploring possibilities for faculty exchanges between the two institutions.

Dr. Nguyen Thi Thin highly appreciated the proposals from UEA and affirmed the DAV’s readiness to closely cooperate in implementing feasible and mutually beneficial initiatives.
The meeting took place in a warm, open, and substantive manner, contributing to the strengthening of educational cooperation between the DAV and UEA and paving the way for more practical and sustainable collaborative programmes in the future./.
