The Workshop also welcomed representatives of sponsors, including UNICA, BIOVIET, AM Coffee & Tea, and the Media Team of the Sóng trẻ online platform, together with a large number of Diplomatic Academy students.

The Workshop began with sharing from the two guest speakers, who are also alumni of the Diplomatic Academy from Cohorts 19 and 27. They reflected on memorable moments from their student years. Their sincere and warm stories created a friendly and engaging atmosphere, bringing different generations of Diplomatic Academy students closer together.

The Workshop then continued with more in-depth discussions to provide students with important guidance for their future careers. Ms. Bui Kim Thuy emphasized that foreign languages—both spoken and written—are the “signature strength” of the Diplomatic Academy. Mastering the flexible and refined use of language is a key that opens valuable opportunities and enables Diplomacy students to demonstrate their abilities and differentiate themselves. Meanwhile, according to Ambassador Tao Thi Thanh Huong, beyond essential tools such as foreign languages and specialised knowledge, cultivating integrity, perseverance, and professional resilience is crucial for future career development.

Diplomatic Academy students enjoy broad career prospects in both the public and private sectors. However, this also presents challenges when students stand before multiple major paths. Drawing from her experience across various fields, Ms. Bui Kim Thuy noted that embracing new opportunities allowed her to break through personal boundaries and step outside her comfort zone. She highlighted that regardless of workplace, ideals and discipline enable every job to become a means to contribute and express one’s patriotism.

Students, as Vietnam’s future workforce, will play a vital role in shaping national standing. According to Ambassador Tao Thi Thanh Huong, Vietnam joined the international arena later than many others, thus requiring the optimal use of knowledge and technological advances to achieve breakthrough progress. Each individual and each enterprise must renew themselves and avoid conforming to outdated patterns. This requires students to be proactive in self-development to strengthen their competitiveness and pursue their aspirations for global integration.

Following the speakers’ sharing, the Workshop became more dynamic through a lively Q&A session. The two speakers answered students’ questions and commended their attentiveness and eagerness to learn. The event concluded successfully with confidence in a new generation of Vietnamese youth who “dare to think, dare to act,” pursue their ideals wholeheartedly, and strive to elevate Vietnam’s position in the international arena.

Once again, the Faculty of International Economics – Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam and the Organizing Committee of FOIE Workshop 2024 express sincere appreciation to Ambassador Tao Thi Thanh Huong and Ms. Bui Kim Thuy for generously sharing valuable insights with the students. We also extend our gratitude to the sponsors whose support contributed to the success of the Workshop. We wish the speakers and our esteemed sponsors good health, continued success, and the ability to further inspire young people in the future.
