With just over one week left until the National High School Graduation Examination officially begins, many students are now racing against time to review and mentally prepare for this important and challenging exam.
Looking back a year ago, DAVers were once in the same position, feeling anxious and uncertain, just like you are now. So how did they prepare for the exam when they were high school seniors? Let us join the Admissions Counseling Team of the Diplomatic Academy of Viet Nam in listening to advice from DAVers and “pocket” some useful tips to make your revision process more effective!

For many candidates, Mathematics is often considered one of the most challenging subjects, as it requires not only logical thinking but also a high level of accuracy and carefulness. According to DAV students, the key to mastering this subject is regular practice with mock tests and thorough review afterward. Remember, the number of practice tests you complete is less important than the quality of your test review. Only by carefully analyzing your mistakes can you truly improve and avoid unnecessary errors in the actual exam.

Memorizing the “huge” number of literary works in Literature is always a major concern for students, which leads some to rely on selective studying. DAVers suggest learning each text through structured outlines, focusing on key arguments and main ideas. This approach will make it much easier to develop a complete and coherent essay during the exam.

For Foreign Language subjects, DAVers also emphasize the importance of practicing and reviewing mock tests regularly. Whenever you feel unsure about a specific topic, take time to revise that section carefully by theme. In addition, make sure to firmly grasp basic vocabulary and grammar knowledge to avoid careless mistakes in the exam.

One effective revision method that DAV students highly appreciate is group study with friends. By testing each other’s knowledge and sharing what each person has learned, students can reinforce their understanding more effectively. Studying together not only enhances memory retention but also helps reduce stress and anxiety during the revision period.

In this final, intensive stage, students are likely reviewing content across all subjects. DAVers recommend allocating time wisely throughout the day instead of focusing on only one subject per day. You can divide study sessions according to each subject’s exam duration to gradually adapt to exam conditions and maintain a consistent daily routine.

Alongside studying, getting enough rest and maintaining a positive mindset are equally important on the journey to conquering this crucial exam. Do not forget to take care of yourself and set aside moments to relax and relieve stress during revision.

Not only DAVers, but everyone hopes to feel more confident when entering an important exam. A wallpaper of your dream university, or a notebook filled with wishes and goals toward DAV, may serve as a powerful source of motivation and manifestation. However, always remember that careful and consistent revision remains the true “key” to turning your dreams into reality.
