On the journey to becoming students of the Diplomatic Academy of Viet Nam, many DAVers have accumulated unforgettable experiences. In particular, the intense period of registering admission preferences has undoubtedly left memorable marks at the very beginning of the new students’ journey at the Academy.

👉 K50-Wannabe candidates, let us join the Admissions Consulting Team of the Diplomatic Academy of Viet Nam to explore the unique stories behind DAVers’ admission preference registration process!

“My name is Phương Trà – a second-year student majoring in International Relations, and I was admitted to the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam through the admission method based on the results of the 2021 National High School Graduation Examination.

Up to now, I still feel that coming to DAV was truly a matter of fate arranged by life for me. I happened to learn about DAV through a YouTube video in which Khánh Vy introduced the Academy. When registering my university preferences, I honestly didn’t research the majors very carefully—I simply registered for the same major that Khánh Vy was studying and placed it as my second choice, without really knowing why I put it in that position.

On the day the exam results were announced, when I found out that I didn’t get into my first-choice program, I felt extremely disappointed. However, my sister said something to me that I still remember vividly to this day: “Everything that comes to you is already arranged by fate. Who knows—maybe if you study at the Diplomatic Academy, you’ll end up liking it even more?” And that turned out to be absolutely true.

The activities at DAV are vibrant and exciting, and there are events that, if you don’t take part in them now, you may never have the chance to experience again—such as high-quality seminars. I was also fortunate to become a collaborator of the Executive Committee of the Youth Union, where I connected with incredibly talented and wonderful seniors and friends, and gained two best friends who support me through every step of the journey. Up to this moment, I haven’t regretted a single second of being a student at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam.

I hope that during the process of registering your university preferences, you will prepare carefully so that you can make the wisest choices for your future and achieve what you truly desire. The Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam is a school truly worth choosing—it will take you to new horizons and open up opportunities and experiences that only DAV can offer.

Finally, I wish all candidates in general, and DAV K50 wannabes in particular, great success and the fulfillment of your dreams. We’re waiting for you—DAV is waiting for you!”

“Hello everyone, my name is Thảo. I’m a K49 student majoring in International Business, and I was admitted to the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam through the admission method based on the National High School Graduation Examination scores.

At first, I felt that I met the requirements, so I chose early admission and applied to all the majors I was eligible for. However, I didn’t get into the program I had hoped for, so I worked hard to achieve the highest possible graduation exam scores in order to apply to the Academy through the exam-score–based admission method.

When registering my preferences on the system, my first choice was initially another university, followed by the Diplomatic Academy. However, due to a moment of carelessness, I selected the wrong admission method. As a result, I was admitted to the International Business program at the Diplomatic Academy through the exam-score–based method. Yet thanks to that “incident,” I was able to make many new friends and experience, for the first time, studying and working in an environment full of wonderful opportunities. I have also learned—and am still learning—so many valuable things from my major. I believe that finding my way to International Business was a matter of fate, and I’m truly happy about it!

Looking back, although I had previously applied to the Academy through early admission without success, I was determined to try again through the exam-score–based method—and I succeeded! Therefore, I hope that K50 students won’t feel discouraged if things don’t go as planned. Keep believing in yourselves. Especially when registering your preferences, please stay calm, pay close attention to the admission methods, and carefully check the order of your choices so that you can achieve the outcome you hope for. And don’t forget to choose the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, because the environment here will offer you amazing experiences and opportunities!”

“Hello everyone, my name is Hoàng Giáp, and I was admitted to the International Communication program at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam through the admission method based on the National High School Graduation Examination scores.

I remember that day clearly—it was very close to the deadline for registering university preferences, and my family was on vacation, so I almost forgot to submit my application. When I finally opened my laptop to check, I was so relieved that there was still time to register. Before submitting, I talked with my mom about finalizing my choice of International Communication. While we were chatting, I didn’t notice that our cat—who was traveling with us—knocked over a glass of water onto my laptop. The laptop froze and stopped working for quite a while. Luckily, we were staying at a relative’s house, so to “save the situation,” I quickly borrowed the host’s laptop to log in and register. Fortunately, I managed to submit my application just in time.

When I received the admission results and found out that I had been accepted into the International Communication program at DAV, I was overjoyed. My parents then bought me a new laptop as a reward for achieving my dream of becoming a K49 student at the Academy. In the end, I achieved both of my goals—getting into DAV and having a new laptop for my studies.

From my story, I hope K50 students will pay close attention to application deadlines to avoid last-minute pressure, carefully think through their choices before registering, and most importantly, double-check all the information for each preference to avoid unnecessary mistakes. The Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam is always waiting for you!”
