TÓM TẮT NHỮNG ĐÓNG GÓP CHÍNH CỦA LUẬN ÁN

Mặc dù trên thế giới và Việt Nam đã có nhiều công trình khoa học về tranh chấp ở Biển Đông, nhưng nghiên cứu riêng biệt về quá trình tranh chấp chủ quyền giữa các bên ở Quần đảo Trường Sa (QĐTS) thì khá ít, trong khi đây là khu vực có tranh chấp chủ quyền phức tạp nhất thế giới hiện nay, tiềm ẩn nhiều nguy cơ xảy ra va chạm, xung đột, tác động trực tiếp đến môi trường hòa bình ổn định trong khu vực, chủ quyền và lợi ích của Việt Nam ở Biển Đông. Do đó, việc nghiên cứu riêng biệt quá trình tranh chấp chủ quyền giữa các bên ở QĐTS từ năm 1988 đến nay là điểm mới của luận án, có giá trị quan trọng cả về phương diện khoa học lẫn thực tiễn.Về khoa học, luận án là công trình khoa học, nghiên cứu riêng biệt, hệ thống về toàn bộ quá trình tranh chấp chủ quyền giữa các bên ở QĐTS từ năm 1988 đến nay và được tiếp cận dưới góc độ liên ngành, cả trên phương diện lịch sử, chính trị, quan hệ quốc tế, kinh tế, pháp lý và quân sự. Với phương pháp và cách tiếp cận trên, luận án tập trung luận giải, làm rõ nguồn gốc, bản chất, thực trạng quá trình tranh chấp chủ quyền giữa các bên ở QĐTS từ năm 1988 đến nay, đồng thời đánh giá tác động, dự báo các kịch bản có thể xảy ra đối với tranh chấp chủ quyền ở QĐTS đến năm 2028, từ đó đưa ra các khuyến nghị về giải pháp để thúc đẩy giải quyết tranh chấp, bảo vệ chủ quyền, lợi ích của Việt Nam ở QĐTS, giữ vững môi trường hòa bình, ổn định khu vực.Về ý nghĩa thực tiễn, luận án làm rõ bản chất tranh chấp chủ quyền giữa các bên ở QĐTS từ năm 1988 đến nay; đánh giá và đưa ra một số kịch bản có thể xảy ra trong tranh chấp chủ quyền giữa các bên ở QĐTS đến năm 2028, từ đó đưa ra một số khuyến nghị đối với Đảng, Nhà nước trong thúc đẩy giải quyết tranh chấp, bảo vệ chủ quyền, lợi ích của Việt Nam ở QĐTS và vùng biển lân cận, góp phần giảm bớt căng thẳng ở Biển Đông, giữ vững môi trường hòa bình, ổn định trong khu vực. Bên cạnh đó, luận án là tài liệu có giá trị tham khảo cho quá trình đấu tranh, bảo vệ chủ quyền, lợi ích của Việt Nam ở QĐTS, Biển Đông và trong nghiên cứu, giảng dạy môn Địa chính trị và Quan hệ quốc tế.

FINDINGS OF THE DISSERTATION

Although territorial disputes in the South China Sea have emerged in academia with several hundred pages long, written by both Vietnamese and international experts, separate studies on the developments of sovereignty disputes among claimants of the Spratly Islands are still in short supply. Given that this is the most complicated area of ​​sovereignty disputes in the world today with substantial risks of collisions, conflicts which might impact not only on the sovereignty and interests of Vietnam in the South China Sea but also on the peace and stability in the region. Therefore, a separate study of the developments of sovereignty disputes among claimants of the Spratly Islands since 1988 has been proven to be the new point of this dissertation, which is valuable in both research and practical aspects.In terms of research work, the dissertation is a separate and systematic scientific work on the entire developments of sovereignty disputes among claimants of the Spratly Islands from 1988 to the present and is approached from interdisciplinary perspectives, namely historical, political, international relations, economic, legal and military views. Employing the aforementioned methodologies and approaches, the dissertation focuses on explaining and clarifying the origin, nature and status of the developments of sovereignty disputes among claimants of the Spratly Islands since 1988; assessing the impacts and outlining possible scenarios for sovereignty disputes in the Spratly Islands to 2028; therefrom proposing recommendations for promoting dispute resolution, protecting sovereignty and interests of Vietnam in Spratly Islands, and maintaining peace and stability in the region.In terms of practical aspects, the dissertation clarifies the nature of sovereignty disputes among parties in the Spratly Islands since 1988; assesses and outlines a number of possible scenarios for sovereignty disputes among parties in the Spratly Islands to 2028; therefrom proposes to the Party and State the recommendations for promoting dispute resolution, protecting the sovereignty and interests of Vietnam in the Spratly Islands and neighboring waters, contributing to reducing tensions in the South China Sea, and maintaining peace and stability in the region. Last but not least, the dissertation is a valuable source of reference for the developments of fighting for and defending the sovereignty and interests of Vietnam in the Spratly Islands, the South China Sea in the education and acknowledgement of Geopolitics and International Relations.Tóm tắt nội dung Luận án, xin xem tại đây.
